The Edding Handwriting Pen is designed specifically to help schoolchildren learn how to handwrite with ease and precision. Featuring bold ink, a plastic nib and 0.6mm line width, children will be able to effortlessly create neat and legible joined up text. With a fine to medium line width of 0.6mm, Edding Handwriting Pens carefully balance clarity with fine precision. Each pen produces writing that is clearly visible for readability, but despite this, it is not so thick that letters become distorted when joined up. This helps children see what mistakes they have made and how to improve, whilst also allowing the ink to stand out on the page. This is also possible because of the ink’s blue colour, which stands out against printed text when filling in blanks and completing worksheets. Plastic tips are designed to generate reliable, smooth strokes every time, with ink flowing effortlessly onto the page. This is not only perfect for the handwriting method, but stops hands feeling tired and painful during long bouts of writing. The robust plastic will also create resistance on the page for improved control and letter formation. Plastic tips offer greater durability than fibre tips, making them ideal for young children applying pressure as they write, and eliminating splaying for a longer life and improved accuracy. Also unlike fibre tips, plastic will write at any angle so children can hold the pen in their preferred style and still achieve high quality results. Another feature allowing smooth and reliable strokes is the water-based ink, which will deeply penetrate the paper for greater permanence and more bold, vivid colour. Compared to chemical-based inks, water-based ink prevents skin irritation, is odourless, lightfast and washable from skin as well as textiles at 40°C.
